The French Army is the land based force of the French Military, established in the 15th century. They appear in the Into The Fire mission, battling the invading German forces. After the Armistice of June 22, 1940, the French Army was forced to collaborate with Nazi Germany. Some French soldiers, however, refused to surrender. Some joined either the French Resistance or the French Foreign Legion, the latter fighting in North Africa.
Most of the French soldiers are armed with hunting rifles although some have hunting shotguns.
The uniform consists of a heavy coat, gloves, military trousers and combat boots alongside a helmet.
