The Flammwagen is one of two French tanks in the game and comes equipped with a fully-rotating turret and hull-mounted flamethrowers.

Description[]

The Flammwagen is a modified/captured French tank (Char B1), likely used in the battle of France. Interestingly, it can first be seen in Saarbrücken during the Prologue as a guard vehicle.

The tank comes equipped with a turret-mounted cannon as with all other tanks in the game, but it also wields multiple flamethrowers on the hull that fire where Sean aims. The flamethrowers are incredibly effective at dealing with enemy infantry, and can even damage vehicles provided they're close enough.

It should be noted that the main cannon of the tank does not appear to be as accurate as those found on other tanks, when firing at longer ranges. This may make it difficult to take out Nazi emplacements or targets such as airships at a distance.

While its weaponry is unique, the Flammwagen's performance is not as spectacular. It has relatively low top speed and acceleration, making it difficult to manoeuvre and near-impossible to outrun enemies.

Trivia[]

  • Flammwagen is based on the Renault Char B1, specifically, the Beutepanzer conversion created by the Nazis, known as Flamm.Pz.B2 740(f).
